S.S. I gotta be honest with you. This holodeck story arc is really not up to your usual stuff in my opinon.I may be the only one to feel this way but the whole thing just feels a lot flatter than your normal work.
No it's not because you've gone a whole arc without fat fan service. The jokes have been hit and miss with me. Only the ordeals with Poid being lost in the script and Piper's character issues were comical as well as the Darwin joke. Other than that Rusty and Scatchi have been to in character to make me laugh (but come to think of it if Scatchi really were a real kid not just pretending to be one that whole part would have been hilarious) and the rest of the jokes just didn't seem to hit me like your usual stuff.
I was aware of it, however the stuff I did find funny kept me going. But seeing todays comic I realized I was starting to wish it would end because I want to see them back to being their normal disfunctional selfs. This Story may have worked better with characters that were more serious or could control themselfs but I prefer Benjamin and her crew the way they normally act, I'm sorry but this just didn't seem to click for me.
Obviously I'm not saying you need to just end it and never do one of these holodeck story's ever again, if theres more by all means post them. And if you have other stories for the holodeck then go ahead and post them, maybe I'll even find them funny. I just thought you'd like to know this Zelda series fell short for me, not that my opinon is that big of a deal, just letting you know.
I'm just speculating here- But maybe the holodeck stuff would work well with a less scripted setting? Say a war game? Or a race (thinking Mariokart here)
I dunno, just a thought
Also why has no one noticed Scatchi's tail's and or body fur? Do they assume the character is a space rat? I can see mistaking the womanly figure as just an addition by the holodeck, but it seems odd Benjamin would be so oblivious to the rest. That is unless shes supected all along and just doesn't care. |

Sorry to hear you didn't like this one as much, I hope you'll enjoy the next one more (though it's also kind of experiemental and I'm not sure how much the audience in general will like it.)
Re: Scatchi, Poid and Axl are too dumb to notice, Rusty is somewhat senile and also has trouble telling organic beings apart, Piper has a hypnotic block against realizing it, and Benjamin just finds it amusing to observe the charade for now. |

And so the pointless, un-engaging stretch of filler whimpers, turns over, and dies.
I tend to like your stuff, but the "I'd kiss you if I wasn't saving myself for young Indiana Jones" was the only funny portion of that underwhelming little story. You're falling into that old problem of substituting vaguely parodic snark and shaggy dog endings for actual humor. |

| Yay! ^_^ Loved the cookie-baking comic. Piper's displaced motherly affection is an interesting wrinkle to her character, and the panel-to-panel change in Scratchi's face is awesome. xD |

| I don't see why the chameleon suit wouldn't work for this. Aside from the hood which you could just say she doesn't wear because she hates what it does to her hair so far there wouldn't be anything wrong with a simple recolor to put a blurred out background over her suit. Without the hood she is visible so any dialog about being seen would still work. Unless theres a gag coming up where she avoids detection by being a round black mass the mistake with the suit wouldn't effect the story much. |
