Hey, I'm making the first one here! Victory!

Wow, Sarukikian children sure are... adult. Also the first line in the second panel is hilarious. xD

Usaginari are a low-K, high-R species. They have huge litters of children, more then the planet could ever hold if they all survived, so they send them to war from a very young age to winnow the population. Accordingly, they learn to fend for themselves early on. The official army begins taking applicants at age 12, after all the incompetents are presumed to have gotten themselves killed.
Sucrans (which are the same species, biologically) usally abort their litters down to a manageable size. In fact it's rare on Sucra to have older or younger siblings, since it's easier to decide how many you want and then keep that many out of a single pregnancy - there's a mild "redneck" stigma on having children of differing ages, since it implies bad planning.
Incidentally, "Poontang" is a brand of fruit juice that's popular with the kids on Usaginar.

Low-K, high-R? What's that mean, exactly?

And if they're biologically the same, how come they're from different planets/moons? And does that mean there's Royal Usaginari, too? Or is the whole 'superpowered caste' thing because of some differences between Sucra and Usaginar? If it's because their biology reacts to the high-sugar/calorie food on Sucra, that could mean trouble with Vanilla for Tsugumi down the road.

I think it's also because they're born of heavy-handed social commentary and dark humor, like most of Sakurai's work. The stuff seems to refer to the archetype of authoritarian "warrior races" and maybe draw attention to the practice of child soldiers, while outlining the ridiculous amorality of the universe at large.

...or I could be wrong.

Nice Star Wars reference. That was the only line I liked in the whole movie.

"I killed them all. Not just the men, but the women. And the chiiilllllldren..."

Is banana going to talk about how much she hates sand and her captor say that he loves water?

The latest and greatest in allusions to Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol".

Edit: Sorry, that was for the previous update.

Wow, this is getting kinda odd.

The species orginated on Usaginar - Sucra was colonized aeons ago by pioneers from a technologically advanced culture which later fell back on the home planet. (After all, Sucra's made of cake, it'd be hard for meat creatures to evolve on it).
Some tidbits - although they seem completely human to look at, Usaginari have a few unusual differences, most notably (so far) some extra vaginal equipment - ink sac and internal spinnerets. The spinnerets are used to extrude silken condoms, and probably developed so more experienced females could be selective about when and with who they have litters. They usually fill out in the mid-20's, so Tsugumi doesn't noticeably have them yet.
Usaginari all wear ears whenever they're in public - going without them is indecent exposure. (Vanilla's crown is close enough to count, at least when she's on another planet.)

Love the allusion to "A Case of Spring Fever".

I guess because S. has seen far too many episodes of MST3K, like the rest of us.

It's my daily background noise, Village of the Giants is on right now. Beau Bridges just got hit in the leg with a breakaway chair after dancing like a moron for 4 minutes.

So, in the Creamy Beamy-verse, people manifest several times? How exactly does this come about? For example, if Machiavelli died and his soul went to Venus, did his soul somehow return to a living form later?

Not people in general, just Al Gore, who travels through time and space on a magical scissor lift to fund communications networks and warn of catastrophes. He visited primivel Sucra what it was just a ball of batter, to warn them of the dangers of global baking. Sadly, his warnings fell on batter-clogged ears, and the planet eventually reached 450 degrees (fortunately, it was only for thirty minutes), resulting in the modern cake formations.
