I am trying to find an old web comic that I lost; I don't know why, but I have a very strong sense that it is somehow related to creamy beamy, maybe the same author.
I don't remember the name, but I think it had something to do with dystopia. The gist is that this young genious girl gets a star system as a gift (by her father i think), she decides to modernize it by building a dyson sphere. Her marketing girl comes up with "dyson + utopia = dystopia". when nobody seems to understand what is wrong with the name, she exhasperatedly tells them to go ahead and call it that.
There are many whacky hyjinks that occur. The security head (i think he was that) has tiny short squid like appendages that sprawl around a "base" for his feet... at one time the marketing lady asks how they never hooked up and he says "because my reproductive prong would shred you..." or something to that extent, there was this other alien lady whose species eats the male after mating, and has a problem saying no to people (which leads to hillarious results with agressive men). There was one arc when they got stuck in some holo-deck like sim... and so on.
The residents of the planets in the system were not too thrilled with the impending destruction of their system (planets not canibalized for raw materials would be blocked from the sun and thus rendered sterile), despite the promise of giving them quality "land" on the dyson sphere... but they were quickly brushed aside... thats really all i remember. |

thank you :)... It is indeed a great comic. I thought it was called dystopia but searching for the name never turned up anything... not even searching "dystopia comic"... well it turns up a LOT of things, none of which related to it...
I asked about it and people told me they would love to read it, but haven't heard of it... So i went ahead and posted the link there.
Again, thank you, I love that comic. |

| Looks like Sakurai took the old site down. Dystopia was a short-lived project of his from several years ago, in case there was any question of its origin. |

| Hi, sorry for not responding earlier - GPCB is kinda in suspended animation while I work on the big project, and I haven't visited this forum in a while. Yes, I took down the old Flying-Suit Reiko site - I know a lot of people still enjoyed them but they were a bit embarassing to me because my artistic skill was so weak back then. (I didn't think so at the time, but looking back on them I'm amazed I didn't get laughed off the internet... but it's probably a good thing I didn't see it like that or I might not have had the drive to keep working at it). Also they were just plain presented in an amateurish way - ineptly scanned, misaligned, lettered via typewritten text and gluesticks, and framed in clumsy homemade HTML. Especially with the possibility of exposure to a much wider audience when the book is released, I wanted to put the best face forward for publicly presented things. It's quite likely that some of the Dystopia characters may eventually show up in Intragalactic, though. |

Maybe you could re-present these things through a dummy person or pen name? x.x
I mean, your works are still a source of referential humor to many. However poorly you feel they may reflect on you, your fans love the stuff, and they show how far you have come.
Laughed off the internet? x_X Mate, there are people who draw barely recognizable underage sonic porn that have 50+ watchers. I don't think it's even possible to be laughed off the internet, especially when the stuff you produce is some of the wittiest, sexiest, and most nerdgasmic stuff on the net. |
